Single , Waiting and Porn

What are your thoughts on being single, waiting on GOD, not actively engaging in Sex but watching Porn?


Yeah we are talking about these issues. What are your thoughts?

To watch porn, while rerfraining from sexual activity is NOT a good idea! It's like a oxymoron. I mean, we all are human with desires. But, the bible talks about how the enemy comes in through the lust of the flesh, eye, and the pride of life. The bible also talks about self-gratification and lust. Watching porn and any other XXX rated movies or sexual objects/decoy's, etc... are all the same. It does nothing to keep you encouraged nor focused on the things of God. It only make matters worse and you find yourself with a yearning and increasing appetite for heightened sexual things. This leads to doors that many are either unaware of or naive about. Certain sexual activity and or illusions can be derived from spirits that turns into evil. We may have heard of pandora's box, or he or she "put it on me" , etc.....There are levels of sexual plateau's that is beyond the intent of God's idea of sex. The higher one obviously reaches certain sexual realms , it lures/expose them to higher principalities/spirits!

Just think about it....Ok, here's a true story that one of my friends went through. Ok, you get with someone with a possessive and manipulative spirit. But, he or she knows how to"work it in the bedroom" like you never had it before so of course my friend didn't discern that on the onset because the focus was not on God. But anyway, moving on, you discover a sense of freedom with this person but he or she 's attitude changes without notice and will speak to you in a demanding way asking you to do things sexually. You do it because you feel for once that you can let go and be who you "really are" sexually (appealing to the dominatrix side), but what will it cost you?????? So, a friend (me) tell this person that the relationship is not healthy, for possession(among other things) is the spirit that is being operated in this situation. But, as we know, the friend kept going, because now the individual is OPEN. The signs are there, but now it's being overlooked due to one thing, sexual explorations! So, what happened? The person end up snap, cracking and popping on my friend. The person came up to my friend's work causing scenes and the police was called. Suppposedly, the person left, but to my friend's suprise when leaving work around 11:45 pm, an unexpected visitor showed up knocking on the door. Guess who??? Yeap. Out of all the drama that had transpired , my friend took the person home and an unlikely thanks was given, a spit in the face! Out of all that my friend has done for this individual (past and presnt), this is the thanks she gets!!! Hmmm.... Well, of course, as soon as this happened I got the call.....

All of that was to say that we all have our struggles and we need be careful as to what we feed our flesh. For it was through the eye gate that David saw Bathsheba in the "wee" hours that he rendered to his flesh and plotted to kill her husband. I believe that once again, we ought not to put ourselves in the predicament for us to fall.

All experiences may not end to be this extereme. Count your blessings, because it could have been worst. God sends warnings and a way of exscape. We need to find accountability partners (if you don't any) to help in your weak and vulnerable times.

how can you over come this spirit when you have opened yourself up to it?

I believe that watching porn is an advanced step to internal/external longings and ponderings. Bascially, we have to start dealing with things. I used the example to show how things elevate when we don't deal and don't allow God to deliver us from our issues. It is obvious that, the person( my friend) had not done this. Sex is a major struggle for the individual as well as the next person. However, when pressured to watch porn, one must decide not to give in. Perhaps, write a short story to counteract your feelings, call up your accountability person, pray, or read the word of God. I know many don't have it in their minds to read nor pray, so having a person to talk to and or finding other things to do helps me. I may go out to the mall and walk around. I will start cleaning up and sing. I do what will make me happy and begin to praise God for overcoming that urge. Then you have to take it day by day or by encounter and give yourself a reward for passing it. After a while, you will have the strength to say NO even if your mind and or body is telling you yes! It's definitely a process but you have to want to stop! You have to see that it is not edifying to you, your body, nor your spirit man. It's hard, but with discpline, consistency, and support, it can be done! Glory to God!!!!!!!!!

Once again, somethings you should notice is happening to you. Know your cycles and begin to guard up your lions! (Eph 6) We need to start being proactive and not reactive. I know this is difficult because I had to go through this but, in reality, I knew that I was feeling lonely, hormonal, but I did nothing about it. So, it matures and then I watch shows with imposed sexual activities and I don't turn the channel to something more edifying! Example, watching TBN, or Daystar, something that will help yout get your focus back. Otherwise, it will continue to grow. We have to really monitor what we are feeding our flesh! PERIOD!!!For the flesh is already corrupt so we need not to help magnify it!

oh wow, i wish i could pretend i didn't see this! lol but sense i did see it, i will go ahead and comment.Well , it isn't easy being celibate so for some, there comes a point where it's either going to be porn or sex..one or the other. With porn, there is such a perverse spirit that looms over it that the person watching faces a chance of being tainted by that spirit. I invite anyone to look up the word Incubus,and for those who are aware of it, what do you think?
