Equally yoke is of the like mind. let this mind be in you which is also in Christ Jesus. If you both don't have a like mind to please God then you are enequally YOKE. If you have a mind to please God and do what is required of you
then you are equally yoke.

The bible speaks of being unequally yoked in the light of not being entangled/bound to those who are not carrying/living lifestyles/possessing the mindsets of that which is pleasing to God. This goes for both the saved and the unsaved. I believe that light should be in the midst of darkeness! Meaning, saved people should be around the unsaved. Now, the bible mentions about you who are saved, should pull/lead them (the unsaved)to Christ, or they (the unsaved) can drive /influence you (the believer) out to evil works! This has a lot to do with their spirit. Example, if they are immoral etc. We should be watchful of their spirit or fruits.

In reference to marriage, the bible speaks of this in a different content to where the wife/husband who is spiritual can santicify their spouse. If the unbelieving spouse chose to live with you, then you (the believer) should not divorce them. Acutally, this was given according to Apostle Paul in 1 Corin 7. The reasoning behind this is that many believe that if the spouse is unsaved, then they should divorce, which takes the scripture out of content. Marriage is designed as a permanent commitment. God wants unity and not divorce. The exception is if the unbelieving spouse insist on leaving, then Paul instructs to let him or her go.

The other difference is if the wife is saved, then she should not force salvation on her husband, but rather, show love and kindness through demonstration. This is symbolic of the heart and spirit of Christ, eventually, he will come to the Lord. Now, in that era, the husband is the teacher/preacher in his household. He also have authority over his wife, so the wife is uneligible to try to win him over to God. On the other hand, when the husband gets saved, his whole family would to Christ.
